7 . About Us1. How was the 3D City Ground Created?
It was created using a package called 3D Studio Max, which is used in everything from computer games to feature films. The design was created predominantly from photographs of the ground and applied using simple measurements to the 3D environment. Seating plans of all 4 stands were also used to get the correct seat numbers. We would like to thank all individuals who provided us with photographs during the construction of the site, including James Sawdon, John Rockliffe and Mark Walshe, who went out of their way to help. Before buying a ticket at any sporting event, you often wonder what the view will be like and whether you will be getting value for money. We felt that a site like this would take that element of worry and risk out of a purchasing tickets and would bring piece of mind. The club also expressed an interest in using some of the images in both printed material and on the official website, as the 3D images are also equally as effective for a number of other uses.
3. How accurate is the design? As the ground was created largely from photographs, rather than architectural plans, there is a little room for error within the designs. However, the designs are still extremely accurate.
4. Can I use the images on my site?By all means, feel free to use the images on your site, or link to the site. All we ask is that if you do use our images, please state where the images came from, somewhere on the page.
5. Can you make something similar for me or my company? Our design company (www.virtualdesigns.co.uk) is responsible for both the site design and the 3D artwork on this site. If you would like any artwork or web design work doing, please contact us via this site, or the companies home page.
6. What is the "Active Content" my web browser is blocking on your site?
